3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very pale colour, clear, medium thin head which was quick to fade. Aroma was grassy and hade notes of red cabbage, reminded me of beers brewed with Saaz hops. Tasted slightly watery, notes of honey, grass and grain. Finish was bready and sour dough like. Texture was slightly syrupy, soft carbonation, coarse edge which I didn’t understand the origins of, given the other aspects of the mouthfull. Easy drinker, but with less character than other Helles from the region. Not offensive and would take it above the Monschhof Pils.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Kulmbacher Mönchshof Bayerisch Hell) Swing top bottle 500 ml, at home, served into a glass tankard, ABV 4.9%
Pale golden yellow colour on the body, with a good sized white, soapy head, average retention, light lacing laft behind.
Aroma of grass, stale hops, light straw.
Taste of stale bread, old grass, straw.
Medium thin body, average carbonation.
Not so good, and boring on top of that.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear golden with a massive off-white head quickly dissipating leaving no lacings. Aroma of faint grains, pale malt, grass, bread and sweet fruit. Taste starts grassy and bready, then over to the sweeter side of the malt, with almost hints of overriped fruit.. Slight earthy touch. Light to medium body, soft carbo, slight oily texture. Not a perfect Helles by any means, a tad too sweetish for the style for me.

Helt grei. Ikke mer enn det. Litt kjedelig - som andre også har nevnt. Flaskene er fine og vil bli brukt til hjemmebrygging. Veldig lett å vaske av etikettene.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
14.08.2014. 0,5l Swing Top Bottle. Scandinavian Park, Germany. Yellow colour with white head. Pretty domainant grassy hoppy aroma. This beer is almost a little sour. Its more than a half year over BB date, so maybe thats the reason? Ok. Weak malty, not espesially fresh. Carbonation is ok.

50cl bottle @ home from Rewe, Germany. clear pale to yellow fizzy body, medium white fizzy mostly diminishing fair lacing head. Aroma simple malt, watery, light cereal, hint of lemone. Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter, hint of citric sourness. Light body, thin feel, lively carbonation, average lagerish bitter-sweet finish. Good, easily drinkable, refreshing but boring.
