50cc bottle. Pour red amber with beige head. Caramel, fruit peach/apricot, some charcoal smokiness. Sweet but with a slightly bitterness in the end. It is oily. Typical and well crafted bock

500ml bottle served in a big chalice. Enjoyed in Rome, in a restaurant besides the Coliseum. A: Pours a clear and beautiful amber color forming a medium light yellow color with low retention and some few lacings left in the glass. A thin layer remains for long on the top. S: Sweet and malty notes. Notes of toffee, plums and honey. Good notes of flowery hops in the end. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong malty backbone. Strong notes of caramel and honey. Crystal malts and hints of dark fruits. Grassy hops profile. Light hops bitterness. Warming. M: Heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Toffee malty aftertaste. O: Good drinkability. Not impressive but very honest and classic Bockbier.

Bottle 0.5l. Clear light copper with medium off-white head. Sweet aroma of prune, honey, carob and some graininess. The flavor is very sweet, prune, honey, notes of herbs, faint soy sauce notes, light sourness in the finish. Moderate carbonation, medium-bodied.

The flavors are mainly dominated by coffee and caramel. However, there’s a hoppy side flavour that comes late and could be ’fresher’. The whole is sweetish and light to medium bodied. Too little for a Bock. Too little to be called a good Bock…

50cl swing top bottle. Brownish color with a short but thick beige head. Aroma is very loaded of roasted malts, very nice. Taste is balanced, sweetish in the beginning ending up in a moderate bitterness. Body is medium to full, proper carbonation, malty finish, vaguely dry. A very nice classic dunkler bock.

Reviewed on 19/12/14. Bottle, 500ml. A clear copper beer with a medium size foamy head that fades away after a couple of minutes. Aroma is of chestnuts, wood, caramel, alcohol and malt. Taste is bitter with a robust character and an alcoholic finish. Past expiration date, so it wasn’t optimal.
