Sampled at Thomas, thanks.
Thin clinging white lace. Clear yellow color. Aromatic aroma from fine German hops that also is present in the taste. Fine maltiness and well fermented. As a good kellerbier/landbier should be.

Not much aroma. Color of pale straw, very light and clear. Medium head with medium bubbles. Beer itself is quite carbonated. Smell is light and fresh. Taste is a bit bitter and hoppy, with some floral after notes.

Clear golden, surprising for the style. Thin creamy head with lazy carbonation. Aroma is sweet malt, hay, grass. Taste is malt and bread. Very easy to drink, and thirst quenching. Would like to drink this on a hot summer’s day.

50 cl. bottle @ my parents in law. Golden with a white head. Musty cellar aroma with faint hops. Nice and soft, good landbier.

500 ml. siwing-top bottle from Kumiyama Sake Marche. Pleasant mild grass with some fresh tartness in the nose. Crystal-clear straw color, fluffy 2-cm. head. Caramel malty initial; smooth light sweet mid, with a little hop tang; final has small traces of honeyish sweetness. Thin-medium body. Simple, well-made, session stuff. Okay.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with abundant but airy white head. Miæd aroma of hops. Bitter and sourish taste of hops and grain. Watery mouthfeel. Dry finish. A good refresher. Drinkable but nothing revolutionary, I’d say.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 9, 2012
12/11 A 0.5 l fliptop bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured clear yellow body with medium sized head. Aroma was eggy and dusty, but flavor was fine though, slightly sweetish malty and bitterish hoppy. Fine malts, biscuit and bread with herbal hops of decent quality but inferior to malts. Relatively thin in body with nice, lightly bitter finish. Was not promising how it started but it turned to be just fine. Nothing more.

swing top bottle 500ml. -from Rewe Sindelfingen, shared with Marko and heavy. Paaale golden coloured, medium sized white head, dusty eggy nose. Moderate malty, light hoppy and grassy with mild sweet finish. Not bad...but in other hand nothing special here. Like Marko allready said, just another Mönchshof.

Ogi’s. There’s a shitload of these Mönchshofs, we get to try one every now and then and never seem to get close to catching them all. Oh well. This particular one poured a clear yellow-golden body with a medium sized white head. Eggy malty nose, dust. Not again... Light carrot in te taste, maltiness, light herbal notes, hmm, crappy hop presence? Light bitterness. And in the end, I figured it was better than it seemed at the start. Good for the beer, it’s as average as they get.
