Sweet flip-top bomber. Inviting brown colored beer with a nice tan to light brown colored head. This beers aroma is mostly of grain and patent malt with hints of chocolate/charred malt and smoke. Starts out almost dry with a strong malt flavor. Very much a heavily roasted malt beer, a bit of sweetness coming through with the ample carbonation hits your tongue. The flavors become really more pronounced once you let this one warm up. Mouthfeel is good. Overall a tasty beer that I will definitely drink again.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown body with a medium frothy offwhite head. Malt, light chocolate, notes of hazelnuts, light hops. Smooth and soft. Very drinkable.

Marrone scuro, quasi nero, con una bella testa di schiuma color caramello molto chiaro di buona persistenza. Al naso e al palato malti tostati, malti caramellati, cacao. Dissetante e leggera, una buona schwarzbier.

6 oz pour from chilled bottle into shaker pint. Dark-brown-to-black and opaque with a moderate white head. Great nose. Rich, malty, and nutty. Fairly full bodied and creamy. Taste has some good layers. Chocolate, nuts, cream, and a little milky sweetness. Flavorful and drinkable.

Had a small sample over at The Annoying Cow .. . Black .. Medium foam .. Lots of dark malts and grittiness .. Thin feel, bad finish .. I’ve had much better schwartz beers . .. . I’ve had many better romps in the hay but damned if I’ll let her know!

Dark brown color with brown head. Aroma is roasty and caramelly. Taste has smokey flavour, it’s light sweet, but quite strong taste anyway. A good schwarz-bier.

Nice...

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black beer with a big off white head on top. Aroma of chocolate and roast, touch of coffee and a big load of malts. Flavor is a bit sweet, thin, some chocolate with a bitter aftertaste. Soft carbonation, decent, not much special.

Pretty nice. Extremely mild hop flavor. Very dark malty notes. Mild sweetness balanced with a tad bit of tartness.

very very dark brown, smooth light brown head. aroma of lightly roasted malts, and a little coffee powder. bitter nuts. flavor is lightly roasted malts, nuts, very faint caramelly sweetness, palate is super soft, a very drinkable and good tasting schwarz, quenching. Got this in a supermarket, positively surprised.
