Delirium Cafe, 2004: wow, this beer has taken its lumps. I thought it was decent. Pours clear golden yellow with a large white head. Mild hop aroma and yeast. Light grape and apple in both taste and aroma. Mildly bitter finish. Decent but nothing special.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 Tap. Blonde beer. Soft grassy aroma. Slightly hoppy, grassy flavor with hints of banana and orange. Malty. Slightly buttery bitter aftertaste. Mwah... Re-rate in feb 2010: swing top bottle. Golden color. Bready aroma with hints of flowers. Malty bready flowery soft hopbitter flavor. The emphasis is on malt. Just a hint of sewer.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is of straw and is malty sweet. The flavor is very sweet malty with notes of caramel. An average boring beer.

Bottled: Well, till now not so much luck with ze German beer in this session. Golden coloured. Clear. White lasting head. Malty and light fruity aroma. Has a light hoppy flavour with lots of sweetness. Dosn’t have much to offer on the palate.

Rather weak and boring. This brew is sweet and has a low carbonated body. Watery in both palate and aftertaste.

I usually ver away from others ratings, but look at Sigmunds .. I felt the same way with this as I did with three or four other Weihnachtsfest biers - thought it would be deep and dark and full. Nope. Not at all bad, but hard to get over that initial disappointment. Nice label, but a few breweries used basically the same one.

500 ml cool swingtop bottle. Aroma like an average lager, rather weak. Golden colour, good to moderate head. Flavour is well balanced with a herbal character, moderate sweetness and decent hops. Flavour and aftertaste is better than the average lager, but this is definitely not what I want for CHRISTMAS! As a standard lager it passes the test, as a Christmas beer it fails!

Great appereance (just as all the Monchsof beers), good head. the taste is malty and sweet, a little bit stronger than the other pilseners brewed by Kulmbacher. A good one, but not the best from this brewery.
