3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 2, 2007
In the 5Lmini-keg from Dirty John’s Grocery. Pours a deep dark golden color with a large frothy white head. Has a pronounced aroma of oranges and cookie dough. has a medium thickness palate of lemon and malty deliciousness. Smooth and easy to drink, we polished this off in no time on a Memorial Day cookout. This seems much closer to the beer I had in Munich at Die Wiesen than what is sold as Oktoberfest beer here in the US. Importantly, Santa Claus was pictured on the side of the keg.

Golden with a rather short head. Hoppy and yeasty aroma, bit weak. Tastes more like a normal dark lager than anything to do with Christmas. Maybe the sweetness is the only exceptance. rather boring.
