dkachur (2313), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jan 31, 2008 Bottle. Thank you bierkoning! Pours light golden colored with a decent sized head. Aroma is that of your standard pale lager. Taste is smooth, but a bit sour. Decently full-bodied. Looks and tastes like a rich man’s Corona.
Fullers74 (60), Denmark Oct 26, 2009 Normally Märzen-bier is not a beer for me. But this one is quite good. The brewery proves one more time it’s capable of making good beers mcdav2154 (289), Germany Oct 22, 2009 Pours a golden color which just seems wrong for this style of beer. Nice head with some lacing. Smell was of hops and some malt. I’m not excited about this one anymore. Taste was not what it should be with a big malty flavor and a mild hops. It’s more of a lawnmower beer than a winter beer. Average. Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Sep 7, 2009 Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells of floral hops, toasted malt, some rosey hints. Tastes of sweet malt, some crisp spicy hints and a floral finish. stobbe74 (655), Denmark Jul 23, 2009 Bottle, 50cl. Pours a clear golden beer with a firm white head. The aroma is malt, pilsner. The flavor is also malty with a little hops. The palate is refreshing, and overall an average beer. Quack-Duck (3121), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany May 9, 2009 bottle. Clear deep golden colour, mid-suzed white head. Malty, very slightly fruity with shy but pleasant hoppy flavours. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England May 4, 2009 500ml bottle bought at Reading BF 09, drunk on the train on the way home. Clear bright gold, thin white head. Simple. I like it. Nothing bad, some good tangerine edge to the fruit. Simple, but tasty. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Apr 24, 2009 50cl bottle @ Plus, Germany. Pours clear yellow with a small white foam. Nose is sweet malty with lots of fresh hay & grain. Some bready notes. Dry and crisp. Ends dry. Medium bodied. Reasonable. DruncanVeasey (2690), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Apr 1, 2009 Fliptop from Arden Wines. Only 268 shopping days to go. Pours golden amber with a tall uneven white head. Unenticing sweetcorn aroma picking up some increasingly musky herbal, hay, honey, manure and floury biscuit notes as it warms. Soft mineral slickness as the carbonation burns itself out; popcorny malt sweetness, cooked corn, more corn, hay, honey. Grassy bitterness to finish. As expected, absolutely not the slightest festive thing about it. Warm polythene aftertaste. Ugly and industrial.
