MoritzF (3648), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 22, 2008 (33cl botte, as 33er Pils, 4.9% abv) Clear, golden colour with a lacey medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet, slightly bready malty nose with a touch of biscuits and grassy and woody hops. Light-bitter flavour, buttery and slightly papery malty base with a woody and slightly grassy hoppy touch, getting stronger towards the moderately dry and slightly bitter finish. Average Pils with Bohemian attributes (19.07.08). Ungstrup (10853), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 3, 2007 Draft. A dark yellow beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has quite strong notes of citrus on a malty back ground. The flavor is sweet malty with a flowery hoppy note, leading to a medium bitter and quite crisp finish. rauchbier (2860), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 20, 2006 Draught, at the brewpub, November 2006. Gold, good fluffy white head and moderate condition. Pleasant gentle peppery hoppiness in the nose, solid grassy hops and some balancing sweet maltiness in the mouth with a developing chalky dryness that lingers into the finish although some peppery hop biterness is also apparent.
Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2006 (On tap) Clear, pilsener golden with a creamy, white head leaving laces. Clean, malty nose. Medium body with a somewhat unclean malt profile where both hints of butter and fustiness can be detected. Dry finish.
