Beershine (4779) - The Sunshine State, USA - JUN 19, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. Semi-hazy brown with rich, foamy, off-white head. Aroma is light and fresh with chestnut, cola, earth, mild cocoa. Lip-smacking and crisp. Malty with a dry fruitiness and moderate acidity. Good roastiness, fruit and a touch of smoke too. Nice.

Oakes (10215) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 24, 2009
Relatively clear chestnut with a foamy head. Nutty-fruity aroma with hints of chocolate and breadcrust. Somewhat thin, with light chocolate and some fruity-yeasty notes. Nutty finish is slightly soapy.

Ungstrup (24030) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 8, 2007
Draft. A nut brown beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with a slightly metallic note of hops, but also a more pleasant note of caramel.

rauchbier (3207) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2006
Draught, at the brewpub, November 2006. Bronze, thin off white head and moderate condition. Gentle caramel aromas, pleasant earthy bitterness and slight thin roastiness in the mouth with a hint of toffee, gentle fustiness in the finish with a touch of hop bitterness.

Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2006
(On tap) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Sweetish, malty aroma. Medium-bodied with distinct, sweet caramel that doesn’t really meet any challenge from the hops. But a very pleasant and quaffable Kellerbier. 131106
