Ungstrup (11137), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 2, 2007 Bottled. A light yellow cider with no head. The aroma is sweet apply with a slight acidic note. The flavor has a weird apple note combined with some acidic notes, leading to a dry acidic finish. The mouthfeel is thin and very sparkling due to a high level of carbonation. Comments: Tart and juicy cider with sulphur dioxide to stop refermenting. Vinous, but almost no yeast character. Refreshing, but very very simple.
Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 7, 2007 (Bottle 100 cl) Courtesy of Hildigöltur. Pours a pale golden with a tiny, white head. Lightly tart apple aroma. Medium body with tart apple notes and a very high and bubbly carbonation. Finishes dry. 100507 gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. (THX to Hildigöltur) yellow colour with no head. Aroma is green apple, yeast. Flavour is yeast, green apples, citrus. Could be more mouth feeling. yngwie (3509), Kristiansand, Norway May 30, 2007 Bottle. 100cl. (thx to Hildigöltur) A rather boring cider I think. It pours clear, pale yellow, without any head. Green apples and a little yeasty note in both aroma and flavor. Medium body and a little bit of fizzyness. Apples and yeast-notes in the finish as well. There’s some astringency in it, but it is a rather boring, but refreshing cider. (070510)
