COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torppari on ounaruskea amerikkalaistyyppinen ale, jonka aromihumaloinnissa on käytetty Cascade ja Amarillo-humalia, jotka antavatTorppari-oluelle helposti aistittavan aromin. Torppi-olut on tehty erityisen katkeraksi. Katkeruutta tasapainottamaan siihen on jätetty käymiskelvottomia sokereita. Torpparin raaka-aineina on käytetty suomalaisia ohramaltaita, saksalaista ja amerikkalaista humalaa sekä lähdevettä. Torppari on pienpanimossa perinteitä vaalien käsityönä pantua olutta, jonka kantavierrepitoisuus on 16,5%, lopullinen uutepitoisuus 4,5% ja alkoholipitoisuus 6,3%. Torpparin aromit saat parhaitaen esiin tarjoilemalla sen olutlasista 13-15 celsius-asteisena.

(Draught@Pikkulintu, sampled 2009-11-16) Murky golden with a small, white head. Exotic-fruity, perfumy and quite fresh aroma with balancing maltiness. Quite bitter, and slightly harsh flavor, but with a decent body, as well as grapefruity fruitiness. Some stuffiness in the flavor, à la Mikkeller Single Hop series, and the dry and bitter aftertaste lingers for long. Alcohol not fully hidden. Medium body with quite low carbonation. A decent, but not perfect American hop bomb from Kuninkaankartano.

On tap @ ELMA Expo Appearance is very much like sahti, reddish rusty brown. Aroma is weak, but resembeles again sahti. Palate is thin and medium bodied at most. Taste as mouthfeel isn’t that special, but aftertaste is great! Hoppy and bitter, also notable grassy and coniferous. Little bit roasted too. (Beer infopaper at the Expo said, that alc. vol. was 5,5 %...)

Draught @ Pikkulintu (17.11.09) Pours amber with a white head. The aroma is citric with floral notes. The flavour is hoppy bitter with some grapefruit-like character. Hoppy, bitter, dry aftertaste.

Orange color, small white head. Yeasty, Amarillo hoppy nose. Quite American hoppy: grapefruit, pine, pine needles. Nice long bitterness (a bit yeasty). Balanced and enjoyable APA/IPA.

(Draught at Pikkulintu) Poured orange and hazy with small white head. Aroma contained fruitiness and pine. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Tasted of pine, malts, fruitiness, bitterness, light sweetness and white bread. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

This one is the best of the four Kuninkaankartano had in käsityömessut Helsinki, tap. Murky. beige head. very good! surprisingly good even. syrup. lots of hops. very bitter. warming up it gets sweeter and thicker. good mouthfeel. a bit watery, buttery and quite dry.
