Bottled. Dark brown, firm head. Light aroma of spun sugar and coffee. Sweetish with clean mouthfeel. Neutral somewhat caramelly flavour. Low bitterness. A simplistic beer along the same lines as Quilmes Bock et al.

Dark chestnut. Aroma shows sugar, molasses, and light smoke. The palate is quite smokey, with dark malt undertones. Light body detracts - more unfermentables and you'd really have something, but it is a strong beer by South American standards.

Bottle bought in Santiago. Kunstmann Bock Negra. Clear dark brown colour with an average head. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts with some hops. Flavour is toasty and caramellic with some bitterness, coffeish touch. A very tasty dark brew.

Dark clear brown bock with a quickly dissipating moka head. Strong diacetyl aroma with light nuttyness. Good caramel malt in mouth, with nice butterscotch overtones developping afterwards (less agressing than in aroma). Not bad.

Bottle at home as Vadivia Bock, 5.3%. Alround rating: Quitea dark beer,. like sout like, dusty arom and small mildue character, caramel makes the colour, sweet and hop exstract. Man its not good, but its better than the pale ale.

From a bottle shared with RAYBOY01 & frankenkitty: This dark brown beer was a bit thin as bocks go, but it was interesting. The aroma was heavily smoked like a Rauchbier, which I always enjoy. There was a bit of sweet caramel and perhaps a dab of chocolate buried under the smoke, but this was pretty much like drinking a baby Schlenkerla. Nice.

Slight improvement over the other disasters I brought this night. Dark brown color with a thin head. Slightly sweet malt aroma. Smoky malt flavor. Decent.

Another from Badgerben. This one is drinkable. A light bock. Some sweet malt and sugar, a hint of smoke, and a metal taste.

Strong oily aroma plus raisins, a little thin and no complexity till I can drink this Kunstmann. Dark body (clear) with good size light tan head, grainy bitterness.

Chile’s best-regarded beer - and that’s why I bought it while recently in Santiago. Sadly, Chile’s beer selection is poor, but this one beer does the trick and the finer hotels generally carry it in their bars because it is so much better than the pale lagers Chile brews. Thick and malty, dark in the glass, flavorful and lightly sweet with hints of alcohol. Very enjoyable.
