Nice bok, very dark non-transparent body, thick lighht beige head. good definition, starting with thick bitter and finishing off sweet with a complete mouthfeel. Really enjoyable. A bit less carbonation would make it a perfect bok but then it should be made for a different climate.

Chile’s best-regarded beer - and that’s why I bought it while recently in Santiago. Sadly, Chile’s beer selection is poor, but this one beer does the trick and the finer hotels generally carry it in their bars because it is so much better than the pale lagers Chile brews. Thick and malty, dark in the glass, flavorful and lightly sweet with hints of alcohol. Very enjoyable.

Oscura, con un delicioso sabor y aroma a tostado, amargor acaramelado preciso. Una excelente cerveza negra.

This is probably Kunstmann’s best. Pours a clear dark bown color with a thin head. Aroma of coffee beans, nuts, toasted malt, and hints of dark fruits. Flavor is very good, with a constant feeling of toasted malt, coffee, and a light sourness. A very enojoybale medium bodied Bock.

Shockingly good for a Chilean beer. After drinking bottle after bottle of lager, this was a treat.

Hallelujah! Finally a good beer in Chile. I let my bottle warm up to almost room temperature before drinking. Drink this beer colder and you will miss out on almost all of its flavor. It is usually served ice cold. The smokey malt aroma let me know that I was in for a treat. Poured a clear ruby amber with a tan head. Smokey malt flavor and nice smokey aftertaste. Moderate carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2006 On Tap: Shows a dark brown color with a medium sized beige head that leaves a fine lacing. Aroma starts smokey and woody, lots of malt well-complemented by hops but gets more and more complex with warming. Flavor is reasonably burnt bitter with a nice sweety touch in the mouth and well defined finish. Roasted overall character. The smoke is predominant. Good mouthfeel a little watery but in no case like a typical lager.

It has a muddy dark brown blackish color though it resembles dark caramel in the bottom. Its head is light brown and mostly diminishing though it leaves an excellent lacing. It smells of smoke, coffee, wood and some alcohol. The flavor is bitter with coffee touches and some tobacco and alcohol touches in the end. It has a medium to light body with soft carbonation
