4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really enjoyed this beer, it has a medium to strong flavor and a dry finish, something not so common in a commercial pale lager, it is worth a try.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Uneventful, but better than most lagers you’ll find in the Chilean market. Usually not a beer you’ll have to fall back upon, though, as some of Kunstmann’s other specialty offers (usually available where this is) are far superior.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle says 5.8% ABV, as opposed to the 4% ABV listed here. It is also called Lager Sin Filtrar as opposed to Sin Filtro. Rather surprised by how good this one. Everything works very nicely together with this. Great sulfur character works nicely with a bit of caramel and toasty bready sweetness with a firmly dry finish. Lots of overarching graininess in the aroma. Tinge of chocolate in the flavor of this guy. Rather spicy hops. I’m no master of lager styles, but I would but this more at a Vienna or maybe even Oktoberfest/Marzen.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle). Cloudy yellow with a small head that fades away quickly. Aroma of malt, grains, and some yeast. Flavour is malty as well, with some sweetness, grass, and slightly sour. A bit metallic in certain parts. Light to medium body, thin texture. This is a lot better than the filtered version, with a bit more of body but still light and easy to drink.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: cloudy golden color. Little to medium head, white and quick collapse
Aroma: intensive and fresh smells of yeast with bread reminiscences and sponge cake. Grassy and light citric notes.
Flavor: pale malts, progress of a pleasant and clean yeast control with reminiscences of sponge-cake, tart, cookies and kuchen of banana. Herbal hoppyness with light dryness and grapefruits hints. Yeasty aftertaste.
Palate: light to medium body and silky texture.
Remark: nice yeasty pale lager, refreshing and with body.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, 330 ml
This one is not very unlike the regular lager, but it’s far more flavorful and refined in aroma.
Pours very cloudy pale yellow gold-ish, with a nice white frothy head that lingers. Aroma is pretty hoppy, with grassy fragrances, menthol, eucaliptus, mint and dry leaves with a touch of yeasty barn and bread smells.
Flavor is soft, bitter but very drinkable. Grassy with Hellertau hops, herbal, crisp and well rounded.
Body is light to medium, smooth and fresh. Long finish of herbs, no alcoholic presence at all. It’s simple, but effective. One of the best lagers from Chile...

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draught at the bew pub, a hazy gold with a white foamy head. A hoppy aroma, grassy with a little fruit pungency. A yeasty flavour with earthy malt, but a dusty mouthfeel. A sharp and dry finish. Not a touch of the bottled filtered version I tried.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Good taste, but I guess I was expecting more. Even the filtered version lacked any kind of distinctive character. I could forget this beer and will when I have a better one.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
My version must have been a baddie because I thought this was a poor imitation of the filtered version, and that isn’t sayng much anyway. This is just a pale lager that is cloudy. Nuff said.
