Great Kolsch ! Sweet body, light but true to style, pleasant hops and flower taste, some Hopy bitterness.

I should preface this by stating that this is my first commercial Kolsch, but... Wow! Crystal clear golden colour, with strong head retention and great lacing. Amazing decocted-malt aroma with faint flowery hops. Flavour initially is very malty, but does not finish as strongly with light bitterness and a faint acidity. Top stuff!

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2007 Draught at Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. First Kolsch I ever had. Looks like a golden lager, but has a zesty, citrusy bite at the end. Gorgeous and refreshing. Acids really zing all over the tongue on the finish

light, yellow top-fermented pilsner-style beer from Cologne. Fruity in the nose, with a pure aromatic long finish. Best served in the special small, thin glasses you get in Colgne.

Germanys light-yellow ale from Cologne, is one of the best thirst-satisfying beverage in the world.With its colour and white foamy head it is a great accompanion to food.

Bottle. Light barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with large fluffy head and mild effervescence. Tart lemon peel and barley malt flavor. Moderate grassy hops finish. Very nice

Bottle at One Pint. Clear yellow - white head. White bread. Egg. straw. Hay. Nice hoppy. Grassy. Nice bitterness.

bottled; imported bottle from Hannover sampled in Reykjavik. Some citrus and grain in the nose. Taste is very refreshing, nice bitterness in the end. A very well balanced kölsch and a surprisingly good beer!

Yellow and poured very flat. No carbonisation but still tasted very lively.Some sweetness. and all round a very easy to drink beer.
