3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 peter (445) - Normal, Illinois, USA - APR 23, 2010Crystal clear like a vodka. nose is pear-like and sweet. taste is more lychee than pear with a distinct rice flavor. The sweetness creates an impression of thickness in the finish.

Bottle shared with my wife. Pours clear with the smallest hint of gold to it. Big sweet rice, chewy yeast, a touch of warm alcohol, bread. Medium bodied, warm rice, touches of banana. Sweet and simple, warmth on the finish and a bit of yeast. Decent enough.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Martinus (1777) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2012
Clear watery colour. Nicely floral aroma, quite light, rice with strong alcohol notes. Light sweet flavour, floral, light alcohol notes. Floral light finish.
I don’t know much about sake, but I do know I liked it. Good stuff, and for sure I will drink this again if I have the chance.

Sampled at RBBSG. Ehh I have no idea how to rate this...it looks like water, just clear watery like... Ok so aroma, it smells a bit sweaty... Taste is weird, haven’t tasted anything like this before (pretty obvious since this is my first sake) but ist’s slightly sweet and some alcohol, I don’t get much more. A new experience, always nice.

500 ml. bottle split @ Black Fré’s Forest BBQ // went for seconds on this one // served room temperature // colourless, no head, crystal-clear water // aroma is of sweet rice, mild herbal, hint spice, very lightly medicinal & alcohol // sweet rice flavour, flowers, floral, touch sake yeast, nice herbal mild quality in the back, no alcohol, medium, easy going sweetness // silky body // quite liked it, ratings are low & I don’t know anything about sake

Bottle at a restaurant in Albany (the name escapes me). Pours clear like water and about the same viscosity. Mild aroma of rice and vanilla along with some alcohol vapors. The flavor is exactly the same as the aroma. Easy to drink and enjoyable with my meal. No problems.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MadIndian (2110) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2012
Gift from SJ. What I liked about this was the nice blend of pepper, vanilla, nut, riceand milk. It was ok for the style.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ernest (5610) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Bottle. No head (still). Body is colorless. Aroma is notes of grain/rice, alcohol (slightly fusel, e.g. acetone), glue, mold. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, no carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic, lightly astringent. Wow, this reminds me of the Simpsons episode where they showed all three Duff beers coming out of the same pipe. This is practically identical to the plain Junmai. Bog standard cheap sake nose, slightly fusel. Yawn.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Palidor19 (2727) - Brandon, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2011
hadly any aroma, which is not a bad thing for a sake. and it is clear as water. brings a nice flavor of grass and wood to the sake. there is a bit of astringent at the end but it is great to drink.
