Shiny brown body and pillowy beige head. Nice toffee, caramel, coffee, tutti frutti and earthy aroma. Low to medium carbonation, easily drinkable. Watery but not unpleasant body. Enough flavour here; light sweet at the start, some nice base bitterness throughout. Nice brew. (50cl bottle)

On tap at the brewpub. Well balanced. Dry, but without the oaky edge the other beers in town tend top have. More refreshing in summer temperatures, perhaps.

Bottle, unpasteurised bought from brew pub by a friend. Copper with an off white head. Dry toffee malts with a reasonable dose of nobel hops. Pleasant but not in the same league as more established Alt bier brewers.

Bottle with swingtop 0,5ltr: Clear copper coloured brew with an dry bitter taste and some faint hints of caramel.

At the brewery in dusseldorf. Dark amber color, thin fluffy head, woody aroma with herbal notes and flavour is about the same with nice bitter finish.

Swing-top by 17.08.12. Nose of dark roast, chocolate, earth, caramel, even a light hint of meaty smoke. Dark but still clear amber with a pillowy beige head. Taste is sharply bitter with low sweetness and a lot of roast, rasping and aggressive with a hint of mild tang. Tar and a healthy dose of smoke that lasts into the aftertaste, light graininess, medium-full body. Hops scrape the tongue clean.

Die Schaumkrone dieser Neuheit hält mittelmäßig, wie es bei Altbier typisch ist, auch die Farbe gefällt und ist typisch. Es riecht süßlich, leicht röstig und herb. Geschmacklich ist es schön malzig, mit einer Spur röstmalz und kombiniert gut mit einer schönen herbe. Ausserdem ist dieses Bier sehr süffig! Im Nachgeschmack wird es dann zusätzlich noch ein bisschen herb-fruchtig. Fazit: Super! Ein tolle Süffigkeit, mit leckeren Aromen verbunden, ein charaktervolles Bier! Draught @ Kurzer, Dusseldorf. Pours ruby amber with a creamy head and lacings. Smooth and chewy. Tobacco, caramel, fruit and hints of phenolic smoke. Dry end. Fine.

ChrisOs Early December Tasting. Clear brown beer, good off white head. Light dry palate. Papery dry with a little toffee malt. Dry finish. Meh! Boring and too dry.

Bottled@my birthdaybash@Chriso. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is grains, bread and some mild herbal notes. Flavour is grainy, bready malts, some slight wooden and herbal notes. Quite basic, but also refreshing.
