Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, bread, keller, dusty, cardboard notes ! Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration, keller, bready. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20111203]

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden dark amber to hazzlenut brown with a thick, lasting and off-white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and breadish. Bitter and dark roasted malty into a dry and roasted finish.

Bottled@my birthdaybash@Chriso. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is grains, bread and some mild herbal notes. Flavour is grainy, bready malts, some slight wooden and herbal notes. Quite basic, but also refreshing.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown, firm head. Roasty, earthy and salty. Medium bodied with soft, dense mouthfeel. Pleasant earthy tobacco flavour, long somewhat resiny bitterness. A well made altbier with deep character, yet retaining drinkability.

Draught @ Kurzer, Dusseldorf. Pours ruby amber with a creamy head and lacings. Smooth and chewy. Tobacco, caramel, fruit and hints of phenolic smoke. Dry end. Fine.

Bottle at Chriso Patriks Bday tasting. Thanks to Per. Clear mid brown colour. Lasting beige head. Fresh bready toasty aroma. Fresh aroma. Some toast. Touch of spice on finish. Interesting light bready and quite drinkable. Pretty decent

ChrisOs Early December Tasting. Clear brown beer, good off white head. Light dry palate. Papery dry with a little toffee malt. Dry finish. Meh! Boring and too dry.

Vollmundig röstmalziger und karamelliger Antrunk. Dezent grasig, leicht bitter. Im Abgang überwiegend wieder Karamellnoten. Rund, süffig, gelungen. Im Abgang ein Hauch von Bitterkeit, Toffeenoten. 8/11/12/12//12

On draught: Clear, amber coloured, big stable off-white head with a good lace; fruity-caramelly nose with a decent hoppy base; moderate dry bitter-sweet flavour, creamy MF; caramelly-chocolatey traces in the bitter-fruity finish. Not great, but very good......

Bottle at Pat’s chriso birthday tasting. Pours clear amber with a big, white head. Nice aroma, bread and toast, light earth. Medium sweet flavor, bread, maybe pumpernickel, toasty dough. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mildly dry finish, light leafy bitterness, bread. Good beer.
