2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rune (4667) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2007
330ml bottle served chilled. Very nice to look at with its deep brown body topped by a moderate, dense and off-white head. Pale malty aroma. Momentary taste of hops and tangy malts. Medium carbonated and quite mouth filling (Flughafen, Frankfurt 11.09.2007).
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Rastacouere (5900) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 27, 2007
Clear straight amber pour topped by a sticky, lasting off-white head. Quite a simplistic alt, but not unpleasant. It starts off with straight pure sweet caramel, but manages to dries out with its dark toasted notes and hesitant, yet ultimately effective herbal hops. A bit roughly done, feeling like a draft, but still quite drinkable.

Tap at Laschet’s. Very bock-like in taste. Malty and sweet. Some darkness pushing through, but tasty. Definitely had a sort of primal taste to it. Very much an alt in character.

Bottle, 4.8%. Weak malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Quite roasted flavour, on the brink of giving that certain roasted malt bitterness.
