yngwie (9206) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2010
Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A clear, copper-colored beer with a large beige head soon diminishing into a thin layer of bubbles. Some lacings left. Milky sourness on the nose, with some caramel and a dash of hops in the back. Sourish, effervescent and medium bodied beer with a flavor of caramel and bitterness. Good bitterness in the finish, but the sourness also shows up. A pity it’s off, as it gives an impression of being a decent beer when clean. 100522

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin og Tobak, Vejle.
Looks good. Pours clear chestnut with a big, creamy, almost white head. Sweet aroma, some plums, light chocolate, light liqourice and a slight vegetable note. Highish carbonation, fair mouthfeel. Flavour is kinda weird. Oddly spiced, some coriander, thyme and still a slight vegetable edge. Some slight cardboard notes as well. Oddly dry with some dried fruits. Generally a bit weird and unbalanced.

It’s hazy, red-brown with a creamy, golden head. The aroma has notes of medicine, caramel, yeast and berries. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, berries, but sadly also light medicine/burnt plastic and the finish is slightly harsh with hints of yeast and citrus.
