Brown color with minimal head. Aroma of grain and yeast. Taste is caramel sweet and chemical as for me. Not true kvas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Plastic bottle thanks to senseimike. Very small head. Dark red almost brown. Very sweet like unfermented work. Slight lemon flavor as it warms. Not sure why people would want to drink this unless they added yeast. Like Malta on steroids

Pours a clear amber brown color with little head. Aroma is smells like unfermented grain and sugar. Taste is nearly as cloying as unfermented wort. This is way to sweet. Medium body and low carbonation.

Pours dark brownish red. Head is minimal. Aroma predominantly bread, malts and some citrus. Palate is thin and carbonation weak. Taste is sweet, little tart, with strong malty bread sugary flavors. Finish overly sweet. Despite it sweetness the first glass taste really promising in comparison many other industrial Kvas-imitations. On a warm summer day it is refreshing. Apart from bread aroma and some taste, does not compete with my home made Kvas.

There isn’t alcohol in this; it’ll have to get nuked. But until then, a placeholder to remind me. It looks, smells and tastes like kvas, so brown, bread, raisin and tartness. Tick.

Rune (7361) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 29, 2012
Comes in a 500ml plastic bottle, provided by Gaute. Headless. Reddish-brown coloured body. Smell of sweet dough. Sweet and mid-tart bread and fruits in flavour. Diluted bread on the swallow. Ok as a sweet non-artificial, soft drink (Tromsø, 08.08.2010).

2l bottle from a Russian store. Clear golden brown, small fizzy head. Malty and sweet with a dry mouthfeel and a shy sour touch in the finish.

A: This one pours a light brown color with some reddish notes and no head. S: Smells strongly of rye with a heavy dosing of toasted bread. A bit more sweet malt from toffee. Lots of fruit aromas, mostly prunes and raisins. There is a slight tang/sourness and some yeast. T: The flavor is very sweet. White table sugar and brown sugar as well as cola. It’s a bit watery with some bread and toffee. Only a mild rye flavor. M: Light bodied with low carbonation. O: Watery but still almost cloyingly sweet.
