Dynamic sweet and bitter combo and really sets itself apart as positively unique amongst the Belgian strong ales

Hazy and fully effervescent beautiful golden ale over which a huge white head climbs for several centimetres. This is a 7 year old beer mind you. In the nose, the Chouffe yeast is still present alright, yeasty, spicy. But in mouth, the beer lives still, remarkably tasty. I can’t believe how fresh this tastes, it could have been brewed last month. Still surprisingly hoppy, minty, floral and spicy. Beautifully extracted pils malts. Just a superb Belgian ale of utmost quality that must have been one of the best in the world when it came out. Leafy finish cleansed over by still firm and confident carbonation. The palate has apparently not lost an ounce of its firmness. I’d buy a case without blinking.

Good fresh strong gold coloured ale. White lasting head. Kind of triple citrus taste.

Bottle, 2000 at kulminator. Soo good, it was very complex. I am sure it was mostly from the aging. It had a very nice and complex body that had not disappeared. it was very complex, it was a yellow colour and the taste was some what cherry like with a backing of crisp malts. Very nice.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, firm rocky head. Grassy nose. Deep buttery malt character along with a pleasant, almondy yeast character. The mouthfeel is gently soft, and the salty finish contributes to the impression of a perfectly well balanced beer.

Blond colour, a lot of yeast-particles in the body (probably my own fault - or the barkeeper's ) Hazy body. White frothy head, mostly lasting. Not lacing Citrus and flowers in the aroma. It's been a long time I've drank a beer with such a nice aroma. Lightly sweet - moderately bitter initial flavour. moderately acidic - heavy bitter (long) finish. Oily texture. Lively metalllic mouthfeel. Very pleasant beer.
