3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very dark brown with off white head. Aroma of bread, toast and soy sauce. The taste is very sweet but some bitterness balances and the full body of the beer makes it very enjoyable to drink. I like it!

500 ml bottle, very classy look with the old style label. ( though subject matter not). Purchased from Lifesource in Salem OR.
Pours a dark dark mahogany brown..attractive large thick and creamy tan head..
Nice aromas of creamy ,milky, goodness..some coffee, roasted cereal and touch of figs.
Taste similar to the aroma..very smooth...Maybe a little ashiness in the back also.
Palate is very nice also..smooth yet easy..low carbonation.
Nice beer..but not a Baltic IMO.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. No production date visible. Appearance: Jet black with a touch of deep ruby under light and clear. Thick khaki foam head with scent lacing.
Aroma: Fresh coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate.
Taste: Light roasted malt with a touch of sweet chocolate, with moderate bitterness accentuated by the roasted malt.
Mouthfeel: Light body with some slickness on the tongue, moderate carbonation.
Finish: lingering roasted malt with a touch of chocolate. Malt forward.
Overall: Good schwarzbier. Roasted malt character is dominant but not overpowering, with a nice milk chocolate complement. Very drinkable considering the high roast character.
