Jukkabro (2350), Tampere, Finland May 7, 2008 Dark orange colored with cloudy appearance. Medium sized yellow head. Glue dominates in this sour berry aroma, not too much else there. Medium bodied. Flavor is also dominated by glue and burned sour rubber. Aftertaste is dry and burned still with this sourness. Weird one.
Miksu (1244), Jyväskylä, Finland May 10, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Dark amber color with creamy head. Perfumed, tart and candyish aroma with notes rhubarb and rubber. Sweet, sour and berryish flavor with glue, rubbery yeast and grassy hops. Is this sour intentionally? Not completely impossible as an sour ale but has some serious off flavors.
ante (2482), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden May 2, 2008 Bottled, thanks Björn. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a small white foam. Solid and a bit grainy aroma of honey, nut-shells and grass. Medium-bodied with notes of honey, bark and grass. Long bitter woody, herbal and grassy finish with sweet undertones of honey and yellow fruits. Quite charming and rustic, if a bit rough around the edges. gunnfryd (2732), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 17, 2008 Bottle. Yellow 7 golden colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, malt. Flavour is dry, citrus, hop, sour, spices, alcohol. OK beer. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Mar 1, 2008 It’s dark, copper-golden with a nice red hue and a nice, huge and creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, honey and flower. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, honey and a sourish and sharp grapefruit bitterness, that gives a astringent and dry finish. Just like the Ale 14, I find the bitterness monotonous.
