Maria (3816), Thisted, Denmark May 11, 2008 From tap as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Kellerbier. Served in a stone mug. The aroma has floral and malty notes. The flavour has a light sweetness with smooth malty notes and a nice, fruity bitterness and the finish is slightly dry with notes of grapefruit. Later on I had it from bottle, and it was not nearly as charming or crisp as this one.
bb (2001), Martinez, California, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Mineral, hay, and slight spice aroma. Malt flavor with mineral and earthy tones. Medium bodied. Earthy, malty, mineral, grass lingers. bhensonb (2735), Woodland, California, USA Jul 1, 2008 0.5 L bottle from the Walnut Creek BevMo. Copper tinged golden color with a decent, but transient, white head. Mild noble hop aromas over pale malt. Thin to medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is bready sweat with spicey hop definitely balancing. Finishes rather dry with little peppery hop notes. So where did AB go so wrong? Skimped on ingredients (except for water). At least that’s my bet. sk8viking (6028), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 11, 2008 Bottle. A golden beer with a white head. A dusty aroma of straw and hay, the taste is much the same with some malt sweetness. Medium body with a dry finish. yespr (5611), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 7, 2008 50 cL bottle.
