Belgisk_Olklub (221), Viby J, Denmark Jul 12, 2008 Bottle 50 cl. Average size frothy off-white diminishing head with fair lacing. Clear ruby body. Heavy malt aroma, brown sugar and alcohol. Medium body, oily texture and a bitter finish. The flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. I did not enjoy the beer, and it was hard to get through.
yngwie (3458), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 27, 2008 Bottle. A slightly hazy, amber beer with a decent, beige head. Sweetish and fruity nose with dried fruit and some notes of alcohol. Fruity flavor, both fresh and dried fruits, rather sweet, and with evident alcohol. Too sticky-sweet in the mouth. Full body. Bitter, slightly papery finish. Drinkable in a way, but I don’t like a beer of this low ABV to taste alcohol. On the sweet side too. (080731) gunnfryd (2732), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, sugar, caramel, malt. Flavour is sweet, sugar, caramel, alcohol, malt, hop, apple. strange beer. tarjei (1154), Bryne, Norway Aug 10, 2008 0,5 l bottle - shared with gunnfryd and yngwie in Korshavn. Thank you, yngwie. Brown reddish color, disappering beige head. Aroma is dried fruit and a sweetness that I don´t know if is good or bad... Flavor is dried fruit, sweet malt, hops. Sweet aftertaste. Difficult to rate this beer; some strange aromas and tastes. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Jul 5, 2008 Dark brown with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, syrup and berries, perhaps juniper? The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, dry citrus and berries. It ends on a dry and slightly grapefruit-like bitterness. There is no hint of any unwanted sourness (infection) in this brew, that I have found in previous brews from this brewer, so that’s a good sign.
