2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 collieman (191) - montreal, - OCT 24, 2005
I just found out that 3 brasseurs is actualy a franchise from france, and now I would like to know how a brewpub line from france endded up with 3 {or maby more now} outlets in montreal. I guess that;s why it’s such a diffrent style from the other brewpubs in this city. On to the beer. Pours a cloudy brownish red with a large head of thin walled large bubbles. Carbonation is fairly high and has good staying power. Nose is dominated with nutty/burnt shugar malt, suronding a clasic bubble gum esk yeastyness with some sourness throughout. Mouthfeel is silky and just a little sandy with a chewy finish. Taste is sweet and perfumy, robust sweet malt lightly ballenced by rosy floral hops, and an unwelcom acidic touch. Undertones are fruity, a little nutty caramalised white shugar, some sweet rice, slightly bitter and with a little fresh corn. Aftertaste is chalky, and a little overly dry. Overall, not very impresive, some nice flavours but not a nice blend of flavours. I end up in this brewpub all the time, mostly cuz it’s stop #1{st Cathren} and #3 {st denis} on the clasic "Hey wana try some great brewpubs?" pub crawl that I like to take pale lager drinkers on to teach them what’s what, but I still think it’s the least impresive stop. Cheers

The one’s the worst one yet. Tastes like nothing decent. Foul, astringent aftertaste. No trace of anything redeeming whatsoever. Avoid this one at all costs. On tap at brewpub.

At Lille brewpub on way home from acbf 2012. Clear light brown beer with thin beige head. Dry malt aroma. malty aroma is fine. i mean all the beers are fresh and brewed ok. no off flavours. really acceptable with just enough chaeacter to make them interesting. some toffee caramel which is verg light and comes on the finish. its fine like all the beers here. competent.

On tap at restaurant. Nice pale orange amber. Tastes of sweet caramel and barley candies. Very light bitterness. All in all, a very regular amber ale, everything you should expect.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, fruit, and dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt, as well as a light burnt edge, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 GarnotingPete (357) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 7, 2011
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Diogène (1001) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 26, 2011
Corps moyen.
