UPDATED: JUL 7, 2004 Fully trouble, orange-yellow beer; good white head, fast retreating. Very fruity nose, both own (spices) and the hops - good! Underlying aroma is from cookie malt. No maderisation discernible, though beer 4 years old. Some fruity taste, grapefruit without the bitterness. Oatmeal, grain, muestli, but not dry. Nice, better when colder. Well-bodied, slich mouthfeel. Aftertaste is rather sweet. Fine, nice beer, very aromatic, sweeter than Belgian triple, but more refined than most Bière de Gardes.
