Dizalus doesn’t make you hope for much. It’s in a sketchy bum can and it’s 7.3% alcohol, plus it’s a lager in latvia, which gives it a pretty bad reputation automatically. But regardless, it’s a pretty decent beer, with a nice smell and a slightly fruity taste. The most disappointing part is the palate, which leaves your mouth feeling dry and raspy. Overall though, it’s worth a try.

Ohh yes, that is what you call "BAMSLIS in the can" ! That sour pilsener, corn aroma diverts in the sweet taste. And at the ed of the can- the long time lost taste of p**s lager

From the Germany trip 2010: smooth and soft fortified lager. Goes down easily even when warm. Enjoyed inside a car on a way back. Later tries were also ok.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
50cl can from Rimi, Riga. Pours clear pale golden with a rather decent, white head. Grainy aroma with notes of honey, cooked vegetable and alcohol. Sweetish, but less than expected, not much flavour, just a bit grainy with slightly warming alcohol and some bitterness in the finish. Quite unbalanced, and I really can’t see the purpose of this beer other than for getting drunk. Bought it by mistake, saw the black colour on the can and thought maybe there was something dark inside to, but.... Still it is drinkable and I have had worse, but this is rather meaningless .

Directly from can. Disgusting taste of rotten meat, raw grain. Leaves a luxurious soury astringent aftertaste.

Golden color, almost no head. Aroma: white wine, quite disturbing and unbalanced.
Strong alcohol heat, but weak, watery aftertaste, dry mouth feel. Quite drinkable, but I cannot say I like it.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Big white slightly coarse head. Clear yellow body. Light mealy
buttery aroma of nothing very much. Sweet-dryish mealy buttery
alcoholic taste. Mid-to-full body. Mild, slick, slightly hot
mouthfeel. Dryish dusty strawy mealy aftertaste with alcoholic
notes. Very bland. Not unpleasant, but there’s no reason to
drink a beer this strong when it tastes of almost nothing. (0.5l
can from Stockmann, Riga.)
