thebeertourist (1702), Oslo, Norway Feb 3, 2008 Updated: Feb 8, 200875 cl bottle ( have a feeling that the two entries for this brewery represents the same bee). Clear amber orange colour with a small head. Sweet, spicy nose revealing coriander and cinnamon. Spicy flavours, leading to a somewhat harshly bitter finish. Quite flat. Drinkable, though could do with less spices. JorisPPattyn (4248), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 6, 2008 Bright orange beer with foxy shine and slight haze; bubbly, just-off white head, quite persistent. Caramel & lightly toasted warm malts; citrus fruit, fresh spices. Aggressive hot malts and almondy flavours, fortified by alcohol and aggressive spicyness. Yeasty, estery and a point of bitterness. After the initial shock, tastes start to blend together, but the palate (bitter liquorice) remains a brusque break. Burning MF, medium bodied and restrained alcoholwarming. Not without merit, but it needs some workover. If it’s not infected, I guess aging will seriously better it.
