GoLdFiNgEr (79), levis, Quebec, Canada Jun 15, 2008 Bière à 4%, de couleur rousse-caramel.
Faible goût de caramel et faible amertûme.
Bière plutôt douce dans son ensemble.
Un classique de La Barberie. HogTownHarry (3175), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 22, 2006 Draught. At La Barberie brewpub, Québec City. *Rating #1700* Poured hazy deep amber with a solid, lasting creamy tan head. Aroma of woody malt (like spruce beer minus the sweetness), lightly roasted grain, and plenty of funky hops. Taste was nicely bitter while retaining the light toast malt, there was a hint of spruce boughs in the pungent hop bitterness that began to dominate the fairly long finish. Good nutty/chewy body, nicely carbonated and astringent - I must have got a good batch, much better than what everyone else describes recently. Glouglouburp (1915), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 15, 2006 Copper body with almost no head. Light malt caramel taste, slight astringency with a little bit of non-bitter hops in the finish. Lively carbonation, watery and not very tasty. As boring as watching paint dry. Draft at Vices & Versa (called Barberousse). LadySusan (360), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada Apr 17, 2006 The taste and smell of caramel. IIthas a long lasting foam. It also has a smoky taste and smell to it.The after taste is sort lasting and bitter. mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2005 draught. brown-copper body with no head. sweet light caramel aroma along with berries and something else I can’t put my finger on. this is some funky weird stuff and I don’t mean that in a good way. there is some fruit flavour and sweet malt. ugh.
