Amber color, nice little redish head that faded away somewhat fast... lots of deposits at the bottom of the botte(???)... Somewhat bitter sweet taste, very easily drinkable beer... This is a summer beer. not sure why this beer won the "Prix du Public"................

500 ml bottle. A little bit cloudy orange-brownish color. Low carbonation. A bit bitter from the blackberry. A little bit dry. Blackberry aroma. Nice but not great.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2008 500ml bottle. Cloudy orange with an average head. The "Blanche aux Mûres" name meaning “Mures Witbier” is misleading. This ain’t a witbier. Taste of white-grapes and apples with a sour and acidic twist. Kind of refreshing but mostly totally messy. Somewhat "original". Yet another mess from a brewery that is as reliable as a 1984 Hyundai Pony.

Bouteille-Apparance orange-rose, pas de mousse. Odeur diificile à définir, goûte davantage l’alcool que les mûres. Je ne vois pas en quoi cette bière est de tradition des bières blanches. Peut-être infecté--Bottle-Pink-orange color, no head. Taste more alcool than wild fruits. Can’t see why this beer is classified as a white beer. May be infected.

Pours a hazy orange color, uncharacteristic of a witbier, and a thin white head. Weak aroma of berries. Flavor of wheat and blackberries. Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Ordinary.

Eructoblaster (2957) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2004
Pours a hazy orange body topped with a decent white bubbly head. Sweet fruity aroma (raspberry, citrus, grapes, cherry). Taste is horribly aciditic for something that pretends to be a witbier. Texture is dry and final leaves a bad sour aftertaste. Very disappointing experience...

Slight gusher from the bottle, so I guess I got to this one before the famed La Barberie infection could really take hold. Amber colour with a slight pinkish, almost purple tint. Big fizzy diminishing white head. Light citrus, raspberry, and cidery aroma. Light grape juice flavour, quickly developing an astringent acidity, drying out, and finishing with a nutty bitterness. Very dry and lightly astringent mouthfeel.

5000 (6211) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 25, 2004
Bottle pours translucent golden, medium frothy white head, light carbonation, with decent lacing.   Aroma isn’t all that Witbier like, slightly fruity, but moreso grainy.   Er, semisweet berry up front, slightly tart, but unfortunately grassy/grainy.   Finishes slightly aromatic, slightly medicinal.   Nothing really jumps out and dominates.   Very light in body and in flavor.   Was hoping it would be a bit more flavorful.   Thanks goes out to Rastacouere for the trade!

Very sulfury aroma. Clear, golden orange with thick, white head. Initial impression is very sour followed closely by graininess and sour, stale finish. Body thin. Not good. Bottle.
