Pours orange amber with a white frothy head. Aroma brings a blend of some spicy Belgian yeast and white wine. The flavor is stronger, bringing spicy and sweet white chardonnay blended with Belgian yeast flavors.

Bottle (500 ml). Shared by Yann, thanks! Clear golden/orange with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is of white wine, fruits, banana and yeast. Taste is fruity with white wine notes (but way less than in the aroma), banana and a light buttery presence. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. I didn’t had good memories from that beer, but it’s way better than what I remember. The aroma is enticing. Good beer.

Robe légerement relevée collection automne 2014 a venir.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, Jerc, Mabel, and GregClow, courtesy of blankboy. Medium yellow, small white head. Pleasant lemony aroma, yeasty as well. Nice taste - more yeast, lemon, light and floral. Good, refreshing. I apparently liked it more than most based on these scores!

UPDATED: APR 22, 2009 Rerate: 4-22-09.
Aroma: mandarin orange, tangerine, almost kumquat. Medium/thick even beige head; rich orange color, effervescent. Pleasant Belgian styled beer. Light orangey sweetness. Moderately yeasty, medium bodied. Not really a knock-out beer, but considering how easy it is to make crappy Belgian beers, it counts for something that this manages to be reasonably tasty and approachable.

Orig. rating: 9-29-08.
Pours mandarin orange color; thin head. Shy aroma - alcohol? spice? Orangey flavor; orange zest, yeasty. If you think about it, it does also taste like chardonnay, especially in the bitter oaky finish. Also grainy aftertaste. Medium body, light carbonation, potent effect. In short, worth trying but probably would not buy again.

orange pour with a huge white frothy head. Aroma of sour grapes, white wine, oak, and ripe fruit. Flavor was tart, but not too tart, with some wine flavors, and some slight fruits.
