3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500mL bottle from Brou Ha-Ha. Pours a bright pale gold with a large white frothy head. Very hazy with lots of yeast floaties. The aroma is sharply hoppy, with a lot of yeast, very ’Quebecois’ to me. Seems almost homebrewish but not in a bad way. Flavour hits right away with lots of bitterness and piney hops, on top of sharp natural carbonation which is in abundance due to the lees. Some pale straw malts in there to back up the hops, but not a lot. Grassy. Musty yeast. A lot more IPAish than some other ones I had this week. Carbonation is almost too much, but some aggressive swirling takes care of it. Good over-all drinker.

Presque parfaite...j’adore la saveur de houblon. J’achète régulièrement cette bière. Je trouve qu’elle est bien faite et très costaude!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber with a ginormous cream coloured foamy head that shows remarkable retention and generates thick lace. Grapefruit and grass aroma. Lighter caramel malt, grapefruit and astringent bitterness. Very good, although a little on the thin side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I really enjoyed this IPA. Pours a golden yellow with a healthy white head that foamed over. Aroma is hop and some citrus. Taste is a nice smooth hop bitterness, dry and well balanced. Very enjoyable. Would definitely have again.

Couleur ambrée avec une bonne mousse. Odeur fruitée et un goût de pamplemousse avec une légère amertume (en bouteille).

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Part of a sampler tray at the brewery. Nicely hopped. Low carbonation. Would have preferred more bubbles. Probably my favourite of the tray

Bottle@Quebec City. Cloudy bronze beer with a very strong head. The aroma is very well hopped and dry, and the flavour is hopped and bitter. Overall a nice hopped beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
New Label, bottled in march 2009. Quite bland IPA although the bitterness was still interesting for this low ABV IPA. Thin, malt is discreet, almost tasteless as the leafy hopping bitterness takes a lot of place without being very convincing. Maybe gets a "good" if one’s feeling friendly, but certainly not a "very good"...
