The_Jester (444), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Mar 25, 2008 500 mL bottle dated either October or November (hard to tell) 2007. Hazy orange-brown with a small head that fades to a thick film. The aroma is very fruity (raspberries), and a little vegetal. The raspberry come though quite strongly in the flavour as well, with a bit of malt. Dry and a little tart. Nicely carbonated. Not bad, but not really my style.
Roli (280), laval, Quebec, Canada Jan 7, 2008 Bottle. Nice Red’ish color. Small head. Sweet and fruity, with hints of yeast and alcohol. Sweet, ok malty finish. Different and somehow enjoyable. rodenbach99 (325), Longueuil, Quebec, Canada Oct 15, 2007 bouteille, rien d’extaordinaire dans cette bière où l,on cherche les fruits, belle amertume, sans être une grande bière elle vaut le détour. radiomgb (1711), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Sep 15, 2007 Rich copper in colour, very creamy tan coloured head, excellent retention and lacing. The aroma is sugary, lightly fruity (blueberries, cherries and raspberries), some yeast and earthy malts. The flavour is fairly fruity (all of the same as in the aroma plus apples), yeasty, some must, bready malts. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes sweet, lingering, some light bitterness sets in, faint alcohol. Excellent balance, is La Barberie getting better?

marcbé (79), Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada Jun 14, 2007 Dark red with brown hints. almost white thin head. Nose of malt, caramel, peat, alcohol, and red fruit (cherry, blackcurrant). Over the top tartness not balanced by sugar. Some medecine flavor. Smells good but taste is deceiving.
