BartC (253), Lichtaart, Belgium Feb 1, 2008 Pale orange beer. A strange aroma, hard to describe but reminding me a lot of Maurootje from Alvinne. Flavor is bitter, malty and also notes of fruitiness. Jerre (1396), Waregem, Belgium Jul 19, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. (take this one from festival Hotton) The label says amber, but the color = golden to dark golden with off white head. Aroma is yeasts, fruity and malts. Medium body. Taste is complex: bitter, hops, sweet, malty. Good in balance.
Like this beer ! bierkoning (4920), La Tropica, Netherlands May 10, 2007 Very simple paper label on the 75 cl bottle. Golden color with a touch of pink. Grapefruit and milk in the aroma. Vegetable notes and urine. Some remaining flowery hops. Flowery citric hoppy flavor, partly destroyed by signs of infection. Perfumed, alcoholic. Pity, this beer could have been quite good. jbrus (4178), Delft, Netherlands Jul 31, 2006 Bottled, 9.5%. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, hints of lemon and a bit yeasty. Cloudy, orange/amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, orange, pepper. Sparkling, warming in the back of your throat. Complex, well balanced, reminded me of a Westmalle "Amber". One big downpoint: the bottle almost exploded when opening spoiling some beer and leaving half my living room wet. oh6gdx (6331), Vaasa, Finland Apr 9, 2006 Bottled (9.5%). Hazyish nut-brown colour, mediumsized head. Peach, barnyard, sweet citrus in aroma. The flavour is medicine (antibiotics), sour fruit and barnyardishness. Some caramellish hints at some point also. The yeastyness seems to grow while drinking.
