This ale poured a light golden yellow with a thick white creamy head. To the nose there are scents of yeast, passion fruit and floral hopps. First taste was thin/lacking in flavour at first but yet an almost oily mouthfeel. The finish is hoppy with flavours of apples, yeast and hopps. Palate is hoppy, floral and bitter.

Aroma, yeasty, hoppy, some banana notes, really came off as as a typical aroma.
Taste, hoppy, fruity (banana, vailla?), malty with some honey.
Afine Belgian ale.

Sep 21, 2008 Good head in a gold pour,with good carbonation.Aroma malt spice,lemon.Flavour,vinuous,,fruity,malt,banana,fig honey,sugary,Ahh Belguim they know how to make em,at 11 % the alcohol is well covered,so easy to drink.Finish,dry,full taste,good ale.

Sep 4, 2008 A little hazy golden colored beer, with a big foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity and malty. The taste of vinous and apple juice, with a lot of alcohol. Very sweet. Not my kind of beer.

Aug 23, 2008 well well, a beer with a fancy smelly pirate on the label ... intresting and surprising smell, alcohol and honey and paint thinner and yeast and dull lemon ... has some nice flavours mixed with odd ones , cardboard with honey some grape ... biscuit ... a pretty tasty pirate like beer ...

Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Poured hazy orange with a tall, rocky, white head. Some lasting and good lacing. Floral, fruit aroma with hints of a lemon background. Nice fruit, citrus, and spice mix in the flavor. Light to medium body. Decent but a little different.
