energetic and full-bodied taste with sweetish pronounced tone, brown copper color and with a creamy foam of beige tonality, bouquet harmonious and elegant. Category "Belgian Strong Dark Ale", style "brown ale", this beer is produced with the method of the triple fermentation, means that it has three doses of malt more than the quantity used for other beers, added in three different phases of workmanship, like the last phase where the malt is directly put in the bottle or the keg.

330 ml white bottle with a Pirate on the label. Aromas of some dark fruit like prunes. Tastes of roasted malt and dark fuit. Pretty nice balance. Nice warming finish.

Malty and creamy strong Belgian dark beer. Has some spices of course and is quite yeasty.

330ml bottle into a goblet. Pours a hazy dark brown with a half finger off-white head. Very poor head retention and little to no lacing. Not too impressive for a Belgian. Aroma is on the fruity side with a lot in the way of cherries and plums with some caramel and molasses. There is somewhat of a metallic note that is a bit off-putting but it remains restrained. Some spicy yeast is underneath. The flavor closely follows the aroma with dark fruit and cherries but the molasses is quite a bit more prominent. A touch of clove and banana from the yeast but the flavors are somewhat muted. Sticky, sweet mouthfeel lingering long after the finish. Overall, this seems like a less refined version of a Belgian Strong Ale. Too many off-notes and muddled flavors. I also feel like there is too much residual sugar. I probably won’t come back to this one.

This brew is a clear dark reddish-mahogany color with a medium tan head that dissipates gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, yeast and fruit. Medium to full body and slightly syrupy with flavors of dark malts, earthy yeast, caramel malt and raisin. The finish is fruity with a yeast and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

A bit boring for a Belgian Dark Strong ale. Pours a dark burnt amber with a thick foamy beige head atop. The nose is well malted with tons of nutty and toffee notes as well as a few dried fruit aromas. Sweet malty flavour with notes of raisin and prune, light spices and a generally bland malt flavour. Overall an average brew.
