Countbeer (6205) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2013
Bottle: Big and lively, vast with some airy bubbles here and there, creamy foamy head. Aromas of honey, malts, barleys, flowers, cream, some cake, light mead a like, some herbs/spices, drenched apricot and wood. Bit like a less alcoholic liquor, while it’s not alcoholic. Pretty nice aroma. Flavours of malts, hay, floral tones, meal, porridge, sweets like sugar, honey, marzepin and apricot, a better and growing bitterness, some yeast, bread and cake, some floral tones with a sprinkle of herbs and spices... Bit like syrup or medicine while it’s not medicinal. Aftertaste is good bitter, some malts, soap, floral tones, Low carbo, soft close to silky mouthfeel, good and just a bit more than medium body and a creamy texture. Nothing strange here, quit normal but balanced thus easy drinkable.

33 cL bottle from the LCBO, served in a snifter. Pours hazy orange with a moderate off-white head that fades and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are notes of caramel, candy sugar, grass, pale fruit and yeast. The flavour is moderately sweet with apple, berries, caramel and a touch of hops. It closes with a soft fruity maltiness. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a nice fruity Belgian red ale. Very drinkable but not terribly interesting. 2013-02-23

Bouteille 330ml.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Amber-red colour with a thin white head. The aroma is a little bit fruity and softly spicy. Some plum and cherry along with some lightly toasted caramel malt. Moderately sweet with a little bit of light fruit. There’s a little bit of light coriander and some candied citrus as well. Sweet but not cloying. There’s not a ton of character to this beer - but it’s not unpleasant.

Too sweet of a beer for me. It has more of a dark copper colour rather then red. Seems to be carbonated well, yet the head is rather small and quickly dissipates. Some tastes that i thought would bother me more are some sweetness, caramel, dried apricot, orange peel, since i dislike caramel and orange taste in beers. Taste is surprisingly light and fresh all things considered.

1or2finger head doesnt last long enuff. More orange type red with some goldness. Smell is lightly of like a sweet fruity malt. Taste is a bunch of fruit taste, chocolate and or caramel,Belgin yeast, some spiceness 2. Most sips r good but some a little gross. Full bodied. It’s a siper to see how each sip taste with the flavours and because its small bottle and 7% cheers. Can get ya buzzed! Enjoy!

Slightly hazy with rich straw coloring topped off with a light white 1 finger head that falls back to a soapy film. Rich aromas of dried apricots, vanilla, and alcohol. Sweetness dominates that’s mostly contributed to by the 11% ABV, more vanilla and light dried fruit understones. Finishing with a rich mouthfeel that fades into a nice warming from the alcohol.
