Beautiful cloudy apricot color with a lasting foamy head in the 1/2" size. Damn that’s dumb. Anyway, you get the point. You can visualize it now. The aroma is like old fermented malt left in the mashtun for a few days after brewing is complete. The taste is malty and sweet with a tiny amount of cider-like bitterness on the finish. Good for those of you with a sweet tooth. Bad for the rest. As far as the "red ale" designation goes, well, I’m just not seeing it, unless this is one of those new-fangled hybrid categories like belgian-red. Come on. What ever happened to the fundamentals?

330ml bottle. It’s more orange than red, copperish. Even if it seems that there’s a fair amount of carbonation, the head is rather small and quickly dissipates. Yeasty Belgium aroma, some sweetness, caramel, dried apricot, orange peel. Taste is surprisingly light and fresh, orange peel, a little malt, caramel, kind of juicy. Not bad, but a little too sweet.

Draft to tulip. Looks off for a "red ale"; burnt-orange and fairly translucent. Smells decent, but nothing special. Tastes Belgiumy, but forgettable. Mouthfeels is good. Glad I tried it, but I probably won’t buy it again.

11.2 fl oz Bottle. Clear yellow orange color. Bigger white head, fading to thin. Much different than typical red ales, just sort of tastes like a Belgian. Lighter carbonation. Fruity spicy aroma. Some spice taste, some bitter, some alcohol taste.
