Pungent yeasty and fresh nose, gold color, tall foamy sticky head. Thin weak start turning to a chemical end this isn’t pleasant. Slightly astringent. Weak and with an odd balance.

JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 5, 2004
(draught) Orange-gold beer; little, peach-coloured, very fine head. Pale malts, mushrooms (NOT mouldy), bit of cola. Fruity, fresh yeasty taste, surprising - just this little taste of cookies on a fresh, herbal taste. Very refreshing beer: this is a good remake of the ’Spéciale Belge’ style. Light to medium bodied. Obviously, I like this. I think more of this type of light ales ought to be reproduced.

fomentateur (110) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2004
Orange to pale in color. Little to no head. Low carbonation. Aroma is slightly citric and phonelic hinting at roasted malts. Light body, roasty and citric flavor. Clean finish, dry with little aftertaste.

Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 24, 2004
clear amber colour with a fine head and a correct lacing, floral hoppiness with notes of caramel, medium-bodied, fine bitterness, the finish is quite dry, moderately malty with reminiscence of caramel - fresh and subtle
