Also known as La Binchoise Blonde with a 6.2% abv. Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

Bottle [330ml] shared with garthicus & HogTownHarry -- c/o HogTownHarry. Dec. 13, 2011. Pours a cloudy copper-gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of honey, yeast, perfumy notes, grain, grassy hops and some citrus. Flavour’s the same, perfumy along with yeast, honey, lemon and light grassy hops. Average bodied. Nothing bad about it, just mediocre.

Pours a very murky golden with quickly reducing white head. Aroma is very sweet with an odd slightly cat pee hop aroma. Didn’t really get the orange peel as promised. Taste is dusty hops, some sweetness, weird malts. Tastes stale. finish is slightly bready with again some off hop flavours. Disappointing.

Found at an Indian supermarket in Kinshasa. Yes, indeed. Huge Belgian head and off-yellow body. Soft sugar and malt aroma. Flavour is soft malts and more sugariness, light hop character. Just all right, a little too sweet for my preferences.

In bottle; aroma of citrus and a little sweetness, maybe a little orange. Pours nice golden color with nice head. Taste was almost creamy, with citrus notes .. very easy drinking. Much better than I expected it would be.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a bit green. Medium snowy white head. Nose : strong yeast aroma. Citrus notes. Bread malts. White beer spiced. Sip : oily body with quite strong agressive carbonation. All nose aromas are there in mouth. It tastes a bit like a white beer ; it has this yeasty and clove/coriander aromatic base. Milky. Always a pleasure to try something new.

330ml bottle from glouglouburp shared with blankboy and garthicus. Clear amber-gold, smallish fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma of lemon and sugar, light yeast - a bit shandy-like. Taste follows, add a dollop of grass and tart apple. Watery, mildly carbonated, a bit acidic in the quick finish. Ehh.

AROMA: floral, hay, herbs, dough, raisin, shortbread; APPEARANCE: cloudy, white foam, frothy, pale-to-golden; TASTE: not appreciably bitter or sour, predominantly sweet; PALATE: light body; fine, dense carbonation a la champagne; OVERALL: a highly enjoyable beer, probably best enjoyed cold and drunk quickly. Luckily it’s a small bottle. I could drink so many of these.

Draught at TJ’s: Faint aroma of pale malt, citrus, grain, light Belgian yeast, and a hint of hops. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, Belgian yeast, slight bubblegum, slight fruit, and slight herbal hops. Light to medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet Belgian yeast and pale malt finish.

750, corked and baled. Pours a cloudy and slightly burnished pale amber with a loose fizzy white rim around the edge of the top. Classic wet grass and butterscotch nose. That would be wet grass in a compost bag on a hot day, the wet grass aromatics would be. A little on the nitrogenous side maybe. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toffee, butterscotch, and wet grass mid palate with a mild grassy finish. Not too shabby. Probably more of a beer for washing down food than for sitting and sipping.
