Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Oct 23, 2001 Updated: Nov 30, 2004 under the name Cistercienne Bruna (same recipe): bright dark ruby-brown colour with a dense creamy head, nice lacing, strong spicy aroma (nutmeg?), earthy, notes of alcohol, sweet with a very creamy mouthfeel, the finish is slightly dry, quite bitter and salty with a touch of chocolate - a very interesting dubbel !

A dark brown, with a cream colored head that lasts, tasting of fruit and caramel and all the other things I associate with Belgian beer. The taste is quite sweet, the finish is long remains a yeast aroma, nice beer.
