The beer as it sets in my La Binchoise glass is a beautiful slightly hazy dark cherry to almost brown color, the head bounteous in size, creamy in texture. The aroma of orange peels, cinnamon, and sweet over ripe cherries with some light malt tones, quite pleasant. Front is mostly malt, lightly sweet, the top middling in mouth feel with the finish liberally carbonated, the hops plenteous in their spicy bite, dry and somewhat bitter aftertaste and the 8.2% ABV, leaves a nice warm feeling in the “Tummy”, quite quaffable.
Ranks #360 on my current 1000 beer master list.

Aug 19, 2008 The aroma is light carmel and toasted malt. the look is a clear dark brown with a big cream head. the flavor roasted malt with a mild spicy orange. the beer coates your mouth a little and the carbonation is a little low.

Aug 17, 2008 Head is very small but deep, smells as fruits for me mostly cherry maybe apricot. The taste is quite sweet, the finish is long remains a yeast aroma, nice beer.

Jul 23, 2008 33cl bottle. Good beer but not a great Belgian. Better than average but lacked real complex characteristics. Pours cloudy brown with a chocolate milk head. Pretty normal dubbel but maybe a little thin. Easy to drink and probably a good entry beer for trying the dubbel style.
