3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drowland (3902) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 1, 2012
4/1/12 (no joke!). 750mL bottle... one of the very few beers left at my work that I haven’t had before. Slightly hazy brown pour with a nice brown head that fades to a film but lasts forever and laces a ton. Fruity, estery aroma hits first with touches of sour and plenty of maltiness with a touch of caramel and roast. Malty, roasty flavor with touches of caramel and then a big spicy yeast hit with lingering fruitiness. A bit thin and light, but the alcohol is hidden well. Not bad.

Tastes pretty awesome; a medium sweetness with spices reminiscent of a cinnamon cookie, and some mildly tart fruitiness.

Deeper I recognize a coffee notes. Sip : Smooth with a decent carbonation. Starts sweet then changes into a sour coffee like ending. In the meantime, it’s a really well balanced with spices like clove and cinnamon for example. It’s a bit peppery too. Put apart the multitude of ingredients its easy to drink. Almost refreshing ...
