COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Goed kerstbier!

330ml bottle served in a Duvel tulip glass. Best before 09/2013 in the bottle. Perfectly conserved. A: Pours a dark and cloudy amber color which is also dirty with many particles floating inside the glass. Forms a huge and bubbled light yellow head leaving some lingering and molasses lacings in the glass S: Very fruity in the nose. Strong notes of plums and raisins. Toffee, caramel malts, crystal malts. Belgian-style bready yeasts. A bit spicy. Some alcohol can be felt in the very end T: Follows the nose. Sweet upfront: Very malty and fruity. Strong notes of plums, raisins, caramel malts, crystal malts and bready yeasts. A bit spicy. Mild hoppy bitter end. In overall, a sweet beer with a Belgian bittersweet profile. A bit of alcohol can be felt in the end M: Heavy and bit molasses body. Medium carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste: Mainly fruity and malty O: Good drinkability. Solid Belgian Strong Ale [ BA Review @ 8/17/2013 ]

Mmmmmmmmm this beer smells amazing. Strong aromas of dark fruit, caramel and yeast. Looks good too. Pours a very dark amber color with a small white head. Flavors are not nearly as pronounced as the aromas but are good nonetheless and consist of apple, plums, figs, caramel and spices. Body is too thin. Dry finish. Good beer for sure.

Serving: Bottle. Hazy ruddy pour with a lasting, creamy off white head. Dried apple, spiced bread, dark caramel, and a little yeast. Full bodied at first but drying on the back end. Nice combination of dried fruit, caramel, and fruitcake. A nice little winter brew.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours amber with a frothy off-white head with a serious amount of suspended particles despite having plenty of time to settle and a careful pour. The taste is good with notes of banana, caramel and a little liquorice. Plenty of spiciness too. Very nice.

Classic Wallonian Christmas beer since 1994. Fluffy light beige head, fruity and spicy aroma, caramel, apple, sweet cherries, walnuts, yeasty too, taste malty with candied fruits, yeasty, mildly herbally hopped finish with some warming alcohol. Very agreeable.

Bottle, about 8 months after purchase. Labelled as La Binchoise Reserve

Orange amber pour with a lovely tan head, relatively fine. Nose of yeasty bread and alcohol and (overripe) orchard fruit. Flavor is sweet, Christmas-ale-style, plums, alcohol prevalent, mildly spicy. Fairly active on the tongue. Perfectly nice Belgian holiday ale, but the prominence of the alcohol in aroma and flavor keeps this out of the higher echelons, at least at this young age.

Bottle at YNWA Beershop. High creamy white lasting head. Hazy amber body. Dusty sweet fruity aroma. Dry malt straw fruity and bitter flavor. Low carbonation, lon sweet finish.

Opálos színnel rendelkező, igen élénk karakterű, savanykásan élesztős illatú, tömött habbal rendelkező, ünnepi díszbe öltözött ital. Testes és összetett formátum, ha hagyjuk kibontakozni, teljesebb élményt nyújt, melyben a kezdeti savanykás és pezsgő jelleg lágyan vált át egy élesztővel átitatott, gyümölcscukros és enyhén mézes, vajas színezetű édeskés ízvilágba, összességében azonban kiemelkedőnek tekinthető jellemvonásokat életének egyik fázisában sem mutat fel. Már-már unalomig ismert, de mindenképpen élvezhető karakter.

Boozy, bready, caramel/toffee aroma. Flavor is bready and sweet with caramel, cherry, and apple. Some drying alcohol in a sweet finish. This is a fine beer, but without the character of the best Belgian ales.
