COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Speciale Nol could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A brown orange opaque beer ; some yeast sediments ; big creamy white head ; average retention. Caramel aroma, herbs, biscuit. Medium sweet, acid note, light bitter, a bit dry. Medium body, thin to medium texture, high carbonation, sweet finish, refreshing and yeasty note. Overall, average christmas beer ; lack of depth.

Bottle . Bit astonished by the high ratings this one appears to have . Had no expectations at all , which has changed just now . Pours clear amber, good white head . Smell is sweet, touch of herbal spices . On the bitter side as well . Taste is very sharp bitter, with earthy amber malts . Not as sweet as expected . Full, kinda bread-like character . Not very spiced in the taste at all . Good mouthfeel , yet as in most Belgian beers overcarbonated to me ... Nice one, yes . Not sure why it has a 90+ score though ...

330 ml bottle. BB? From saveur-biere.com.
Lively cloudy bright orangey golden colour with huge foamy off-white head. Grainy malt, yeast and mild hops in the aroma. The flavour is yeast, mild hops, mild bitterness, mild spices and malt. Quite indifferent beer.

Cuando prob eata cerveza por primera vez, me atrajo su aroma ligero. Pens, seguro que me ofrece algo. Nada ms lejos de la verdad, un gusto inspido y voltil que no deja mas que un regusto a flores pasadas.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, lumpy, reddy amber. Thin, fairly dense, lasting, white head. Soft, fruity, caramel malts. Banana and toffee ice cream. Some cherry, too. Beyond the sweet, there are elements of raisin, granary bread, and nuts. Taste is light sweet, and fruity dry. Soft, smooth, luscious palate. Finishes chewy, soft, and fruity dry. Goes really well with Stichelton cheese. Im about to go overboard on both...

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden amber, thick off-white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, spice, grainy notes, light citrus fruit. Taste is more of the same, light boozy note at the end. Prickly carbonation. OK.

33cl bottle shared in a tasting glass. Pours a nice orangey colour with a generously voluminous (slightly) off white head. Aroma is spicy, estery notes with some nice fruitiness in the background. Taste is more of the same with a lovely mouthfeel which complements the luxurious flavours very well. Overall a sterling example of a Belgian Christmas ale.

15 cl. Sampled from 330 cl. bottle @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. Very hazy reddish amber. Nose is warming sweet dark fruits & spices. Taste is sweet syrup, malts, light herbs, dark fruits, lightly warming sweetness, little to no complexity, slightly fizzy. Pretty nice still.
