3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle, 0.75 l, at the 16th Kerstierfestival) The beer poured dark and cloudy. Its head ws medium sized and white. Aroma was spicy and malty. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, spices, sweetness, little bit of hops and low bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and mildly bitter. Nice Christmas beer with good balance between the malts and the spices.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33cl @the Nelson. A lightly cloudy amber beer with good head. Smell is fruity on agrume side. Aroma is medium sweet and medium malty, mostly fruity, orange and cassis, the malty side comes more at the finish. Not bad beer but low complex and very basic.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330mL bottle, pours murky dark orange with a big white head. Spicy aroma of winter spices, fruity malts and caramel. Flavour is initially of spices, with a little caramel, but with a weak metallic finish (as manuchampions denotes). Not as good as expected.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle from Brewery Creek in Vancouver. Exploded on opening. Pours an amber colour (a bit cloudy). Flavor has caramel as well as a few spices. Sadly it also had a metallic aftertaste that made me wonder if it was past its prime. Decent but not as great as I expected.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
750 ml. bottle. Pours a short lived, off white head, over a clear amber (SRM 8) body....nose is light dried fruits, bit of brown sugar, cellar mustiness...taste is light fruits, cherry, fig, slight sweet finish....mouth feel is light, alcohol hidden, carbonation medium. This is a perfectly drinkable, but rather light, and not particularly complex (boring), Belgian Strong Ale. If this had been called a Pale Lager it would have been rated about 4.8. BJCP 5/3/11/4/5

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very good but not special as the label suggests. Typical fruity aroma and a very nice fruity taste with a tart end. Nice looking cloudy amber with a big head. Quite tasty but nothing truly special

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Hazy dark copper color with a large, foamy, rocky off-white head. About average retention leaving a very thin layer of lace with a bit more sticking to the sides of the glass.
S - Good amount of malt with a fairly strong caramel aroma. Strong fruity aroma as well with apple being strongest and some orange and other golden fruits in the background. A bit of musty aroma and some yeast.
T - Pretty strong fruity flavor with apple being the strongest and some other golden fruit. Also a good amount of caramel and pale malt. Pretty strong musty flavors with a touch of earthiness. Some yeast and candi sugar flavors as well.
M - Medium body with a lot of carbonation. Fairly smooth and creamy, but a little on the light side.
D - Pretty easy to drink. Flavors are pretty good, but not great. A little too musty. Nice to drink, especially for the ABV, but it wasn’t necessarily making me want more.
Notes: Not exactly sure what style this is, but it is fairly tasty. Not an amazing beer but alcohol is well hidden and flavors aren’t bad (not great either though). This is decent and I would drink it again, but I wouldn’t seek it out. For the right price, it would be worth getting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
8/27/10. 750mL labeled "La Binchoise Reserve." Thanks to Lance at Liquor Loft for sharing! Cloudy orange pour. Spicy, bready, malty Belgian here. The flavor is light bready malt, not much going on. Eh.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso. Bubbly orange-red pour with very little head. Lots of cherry on the nose, almost medicinal and candy-like. Fruity flavor with lots of cherry and maybe a hint of chocolate. Tastes almost like a cherry jolly rancher. Bitter finish.
