07.07.05 Tap at Montreal brewpub. Served in a plastic, cafeteria style pint ’glass’ because I was on the terrace upstairs. Craterous white head, bespeckled with brown bits. Strong aromas of banana and clove, lemon translate to flavor. Full body, but quenching. Looking around, this was certainly the most popular brew on this hot but breezy night, my first night in the city. Could use more spice and a more lively body.

On tap Montreal Large flleting head of white over a hazy yellow body. Light malt and hop aroma with a hint of spice. The aroma carried a spicy note and the flavor followed it up with a lightly sweet spritzy palate. Not bad although certainly not the best of this style that I’ve had.

(Draught) Sampled at Les 3 Brasseur in Montreal. More wit aroma than the Blonde... Wheaty, thin. Pleasant, clouded lemon colour. Strong banana with a peppery spice. Straight forward and decent representation of the style.

Cloudy pale yellow. Fruity witbier with melon, bubbly wheat and coriander flavors. Light tartness all around. Refreshing in a mineralized water fashion. Mouthfeel is foamy, airy texture despite a thin body. Very simple.

(Rating #44)

Cloudy pale blond color. Very simple wheat beer, with light citrus fruits and hopping; quite bitter.

Montreal. Nice aroma of wheat and spice, a cloudy yellow, small white head. Good clean wheat, corriander flavours. Light bodied, good mouthfeel. Well done.

Montréal location. Looks more like a blond (almost no hazyness). Nice foamy head. Average malty aroma with light fruity hints. Taste is dominated by malt. Fair bitter aftertaste. Do not really corresponds to the style...
