Mondville Brewpub, Caen. Hazy pale lemon. Mild spicy aroma. Gentle fizz. A bit green - like all their beers, this has not been lagered enough to develop significant flavours - and what flavours are present are undeveloped. Piss poor crap.

From the Strasbourg brewpub: No aroma. Cloudy white, ok head. Weak taste - kind of watery. The brewpubs in Strasbourg seem to be student only places, which seems to have a bad effect on the beer quality.

From brewpub in Reims, France. Cloudy light amber with thin head. Nice wheat citrus aroma, light malts and decent hops. Medium high carb and medium body. Light sweet yeast & citrus. Mild bitter finish and after.

Cloudy pale yellow. Light orange aroma. Rather sweet and clean with hard mouthfeel. Dry, biterish finish.

Although 3 Brasseurs over-waters all their beer, the only one of the four I tried in which this worked was their blanche as it created a refreshing, mild light citrus flavor. Some pepper notes. Noticeably sweet.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2004 (Montreal location) : Sympathetic light pineapple daiquiri allusions, impetuous yeast flakes, enticing lemon sherbet...Dim lactic feel, enlightening tropical fruit, hazardous astringency...Tasty and creamy summer beer...Their best offering at the Montreal location...
