3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Golden and clear with a small head. Pleasant but not a lot of flavour and a pretty limp body considering its strength. I lone this style but this is not an outstanding example of it. Decidedly average.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Lidl, Wrekenton, Gateshead. Pale golden coloured with a thin white head of foam. It has a slightly sugary sweet lemon flavour with toffee, herbal notes and more sugary fruit on the smooth finish. Too little flavour for the high ABV. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Lidl; first time I’ve visited this welfare store and I honestly don’t like, everything is disorganised, no general theme and I was grossed out by the availability of polish sausage and Bavarian ham, beer pours a clear amber with a bubbly white head, aroma has yeast and lemon, taste has yeast profile, sweet candied fruits, citrus, drinks ok.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma slightly better than taste, which was sweet/malty with barely noticable hoppy-bitter finish. Overall not very bad , but a bit flat and dull taste.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Lidl, limpid gold with a thin head and aromas of golden malt plus a little green apple and sweetcorn, and some drying alcohol. Medium bodied with a generous alcohol warmth plus grassy dry bitterness and an underlying sweet maltiness. Decent.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
0.75 litre cork and caged bottle from Skegness Lidl: shared with me Dad on 14th Feb 2016. Golden amber pour, white fading head. Not a lot going on to be honest, wet and boring. Some mild spice and pepper notes in a mostly poor malt/grainy nose, the taste a blend of weak hops and light malts, again with a little spice trace to break up the nothingness of the whole thing. Scored kindly because my Dad bought it for me to try.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Lidl. BdG might just be my least favorite style, but having said that, this is a grower. Dry, yeasty, harsh acrid, chemical tang on the finish. Twas a big bottle, so got pleasingly buzzed by the end. It’s OK.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a blonde colour. Some yeasty tastes and a bit Belgian like. Ok but not the best I’ve had of this style
