Bu à Montréal (coin de St-Catherine et Crescent) (10 oz). Blonde assé claire, peu de collet. Arome de malte d’orge sucré et légé. Goût de malte assé bien, mais pas plus que ça.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2010 Draught, in Strasbourg. Sweet, spicy aroma. Sparkling, clear golden colour. The head is white, but almost non-existant. Slightly spicy flavour. Has a good, distinct hoppiness which goes on into the aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad. 7 3 7 3 15

Draught at the brewpub in Toronto. Mild spicy aroma, teaish and with a grassy hop note. Hazy yellow colour, sparkling. Very small white head. The flavour is quite spicy, some coriander. Hint of citrus. Like a Belgian wit. OK mild sweetness. Medium clean bitterness in the finish. 6 3 6 3 15

Rue St. Denis, Montreal location... Draft... Clear, yellow ale with a large, creamy, white head. Good retention. Citrusy nose with notes of white pepper, grapefruit and light butterscotch. Medium bitter flavor with a nice citrus bite. Pink grapefruit and white wine. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, dry finish.

Draught at the brewpub in Reims. Blonde pour. Reminded me of a wheat beer sans bubblegum and banana. Pretty standard stuff.

[Ste.-Catherine St., Montreal] Clear (almost) straw with a nice, white ring which generated good lacing. Malty sweet aroma with a pleasant, fresh noble hops aroma. Very fresh and malty flavour, with hopping reminiscent of a continental pilsner. A little lingering bitterness. Light body with moderate carbonation. Better than what I expected, but really nothing special.

well, I was suprised. Most of the brewpubs around would make the blond a canadian ale, but this tastes of eastern europ. Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a THICK head and seious lacings. Aroma is of wheat, and bubble gum yeast, with thin grassy notes. Mouthfeel is a little sandy with heavy sediment. Flavour is dominated by grassy sweet malt and bubble gum yeast, with undertones of clove, sour wheat, herbal, and very green bitter hops. Aftertaste is a little acidic, bubblegum, dry yeast, followed by a fresh dry citrus finish. Very fresh, very clean, and fairly well balanced, but alltogether unremarkable. Cheers

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 24, 2005
Draught at the brewpub in Montreal
Pale blonde color, nice head, lots of lacing, tons of yeast sediment. Nose of sour wheat, starchy and moist. The flavor is malty, citric, acidulous and meaty from all the yeast. Finishes balanced, fresh would be an understatement, more like green.

On tap Montreal Large head of white topping a light yellow beer. Light malt aroma and flavor but largely unremarkable. Light watery drinkable. If you like Gordon Biersch or Hops beers, you’ll like this one.

(Draught) Sampled at Les 3 Brasseur in Montreal. Very clear and lemony body with white sediment scattered across the bottom of the glass. Nose of a Belgian Wit? Nice webbing on the side of the glass. Mildly malty, wheaty with citrus and mild herbs.
