Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Weak apple aroma with a touch of rosemary. Sweet apple flavour with herbs

20/V/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: IV/12 (2012-525)

Little cloudy orange beer, small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, sugary, sweet malts, little vinous, maybe apples. Not too sure though. MF: soft carbon, medium body, soft creamy texture, I’ll give you that. Taste: sweet apple juice, sugary, some sweet malts, bitter, apple skin, cider like woodiness. Aftertaste: sugar, some tobacco, bitter, lime juice, some spices. Not exactly a beer, if you ask me.

Hazy yellow/green applejuice colour. no carbo what so ever. Taste and smell is also exactly the same as apllejuice. would not buy again. i like applejuice so its not horribly awefull. as a beer though its an outright abomination. not gonna drink this again. drank inside the evil lair of thas benzai.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Thompson and Dutchdrebus. Slightly hazy orange color, no head. Smell slightly malty, very sweet. Tastes about the same, mostly very sweet and slightly apple. Low body, low carbo.

Bottle thx to benzai. Hazy yellow colour with no head. Smells bad, sweet and nasty. Tastes applejuice, apfelkorn. Nasty. Little to no carbo and a medium body.

Bottle. Blonde. Apple and butter in the aroma. Sweet, buttery flavor with apple juice. Yoghurt. Diacetyl.

Small white head over fully hazy, well-carbonated orange beer. Cookies, oxydation (well within BBD), apple pie; faintly herbal. Sweet apples, again oxydized cookies or (fruit)cake, pinch of gingerbread in the finish. Acidity, probably fully due to the CO². Spritzy feel, medium bodied, bit creamy texture despite the carbonation. Oh well. Not bad, but tto sweet to be a refreshing easy-drinker.

Bottle @ 9th Rencontre des Brasseries du Luxembourg Belge. Jus de pomme ou bière? Superbe surprise que cette bière, là aussi on y voit que l’usage du naturel surpasse grandement une bière faisant usage d’extrait d’arôme. Ici, on fait donc le plein de vieilles pommes de Hesbaye et cela se ressent à tous les niveaux de la dégustation. Arôme est envoutant, plein de saveurs d pomme pressées allant vers une touche sucré caramélisée. Cela me rappelant un peu le sirop de Liège. Point de vue gustatif, une expérience similaire au nez. Bière fruitée aux pommes sans être trop amer. Le tout conserve un très bon profile de pomme, sucre/caramel, avec cette impression en bouche d’une puée de pomme/jus de pomme allant vers le cidre. Une merveille.

Bottle, courtesy of plovmand. A clear, except for some floaties, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Lots of apple sweetness in the aroma, some cinnamon too, making me think of a dessert with cream and apples. Apple sweetness in the flavor too, not much else coming through. It finishes much the same. Medium body. A quite interesting one, but that’s it. 100814

(Bottled) Slightly hazy golden, small lemonadey head. Sweetish and tart, quite cidery nose. Flavor is like a mix of Pommac (an apple lemonade matured in oak), cider, and witbier. Quite fizzy and somewhat spicy. Not very beery, but quite nice and balanced as a lemonade. 5153
